A note on this page. It is a summary written for readability. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace the law where you live.

In short

  • The free audit is free and puts you under no obligation.
  • There is no upfront fee and no retainer. You are invoiced only for removals that are verified.
  • Removal is always the platform’s decision. We do not promise that a particular review will come down. We promise you will not be billed if it does not.
  • We only pursue reviews that violate a platform’s own policy. We do not remove genuine reviews, and we do not post fake ones.
  • You can stop at any time by telling us in writing.
  • Everything on this site is general information, not legal advice.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Erase Trax, the business that runs erasetrax.com. “You” means the person using this website or, where you act for a business, that business. If you contact us on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

By using this website, or by asking us to do work for you, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

Using this website

You agree:

  • to use the site only for lawful purposes;
  • not to try to break into it, overload it, or interfere with how it works;
  • not to copy, scrape or republish its content without our written permission.

We may block access to anyone who breaks these terms.

Our content

The text, design, logos and graphics on this site belong to Erase Trax and are protected by copyright. You may read them, link to them, and quote short passages with credit. You may not reproduce them for commercial use without our permission.

The names and logos of review platforms and other companies mentioned on this site belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them.

Information on this site

What you read here is general information about how review platforms and search engines work, and about what we do. It is not legal advice, and it is not a promise about your case. Results we describe are examples of past work. They do not mean the same outcome is available to you. Every case turns on the platform’s policies and the review itself.

We try to keep the site accurate and current. We do not promise that it is free of errors, or that it will always be available.

The chat assistant

The chat on this site is automated. It answers from our own published material, and it can be wrong. Nothing it says is advice, or a commitment on our part. If something the assistant says matters to your decision, check it with a person on the team before you rely on it. Our privacy policy explains how chat messages are handled.

The free audit

The audit is free and puts you under no obligation. We look at the reviews you point us to, assess them against the platform’s own policies, and reply with our honest opinion of what is realistically removable and what is not. If a review is genuine, we say so, and we will not try to remove it.

The audit is our professional opinion. It is not a guarantee that any review will be removed. We may decline to take on a case, and we will tell you if we do.

Removal work and how you pay

  • There is no upfront fee and no retainer.
  • Before work starts, we agree in writing which reviews we will pursue and the price for each verified removal.
  • A removal is verified when the review is no longer publicly visible on the platform. We tell you when that happens and how to check it yourself.
  • You are invoiced for verified removals only. A review that stays up is not on the bill.
  • Platforms sometimes put a review back after removing it. If that happens to a review we have invoiced, tell us. We will look at it again and agree with you how to handle it.

Other services

Reputation monitoring, SEO & AI search and social media post removal are separate services. Each is scoped and priced in writing before it starts, is billed weekly and has no fixed term. If the written scope for a piece of work says something different from these terms, the written scope wins for that work.

What we promise, and what we do not

We promise to

  • be honest about what is realistically removable;
  • pursue only reviews that violate a platform’s published policies;
  • act only within each platform’s published policies and terms;
  • not bill you for a review that stays up;
  • keep you informed about where each case stands.

We do not promise

  • that any particular review will be removed. Removal is always the platform’s decision, and platforms change their policies and their minds;
  • a particular star rating, search ranking or level of traffic;
  • a date by which a platform will decide.

We do not remove genuine reviews. We do not post fake reviews, buy reviews, or ask you to. If you ask us to do any of these, we will refuse. Where we say what is likely, it is an estimate based on experience, not a guarantee.

What we need from you

  • Accurate information about your business and the reviews.
  • Honesty about whether a review is genuine. It saves everyone time.
  • The authority to act for the business you ask us to help.
  • Access to the business profile, where a platform requires the owner to act.
  • No requests to do anything that violates a platform’s policies or the law.

If information you give us turns out to be false, we may stop work. You remain responsible for removals verified before we stopped.

Confidentiality

We keep what you tell us about your business and your reviews private. We do not publish your business’s name or the details of your case without your written permission. Where we describe results on this site, we do so without identifying the client, or with their permission.

Stopping

You can stop at any time by telling us in writing. You pay for removals verified before we received your notice, and nothing else.

We can stop working with you if you break these terms, give us false information, or ask us to do something we will not do. If we stop, the same principle applies: you pay only for removals already verified.

Ongoing services have their own notice terms, set out in the written scope for that work.

Liability

We provide this website “as is”. We do not guarantee that it is free of errors, always available, or free of viruses.

We are not liable for indirect loss: lost profit, lost business, lost data, or damage to reputation that follows from using the site, from a review staying up, or from a platform’s decision.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Other sites and platforms

This site links to other sites: review platforms, WhatsApp, and so on. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or policies. A link is not an endorsement.

The platforms we work with have their own policies, and those policies change. Our work depends on them, and we cannot control them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms. Work already agreed in writing stays on the terms that applied when it was agreed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where Erase Trax is based, and any dispute goes to the courts there. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

If there is a problem, tell us first. Most things can be sorted out with an email.
