In short

Can a Canadian business get a fake Google review removed?

Yes, when it violates Google’s policies: a fake, spam, an advert, an off-topic post, a review from a rival, or abuse, whether it is written in English or French. A real customer’s honest review stays. The audit is free, and you pay only for reviews that come down. Google makes the final decision.

Working with us

Four steps from first look to done

  1. Free audit

Send your listing from anywhere between St. John’s and Victoria. Every review is read in the language it was written in, at no cost.

  2. Case opened

The reviews you approve are taken on for you. You never share a login.

  3. The platform decides

Google decides on each one in its own time, whatever your province. You can see where every review is up to.

  4. Removed. Now you pay.

Billed per review verified gone, at the price agreed in writing first. One that stays up costs you nothing.

Straight answer

What we can and cannot remove

Here is the truth most companies will not say out loud. If a real customer had a rough experience and wrote about it, that review is staying. But plenty of reviews violate Google’s policies, and those we will happily take on.

Can come down4

  • Straight-up fake. Posted by people who were never your customers, or by accounts made just to drag your rating down.
  • Spam reviews. Spam, advertisements, or content that has nothing to do with your business.
  • From a rival or ex-employee. Anyone with something to gain from your rating falling.
  • Abuse and personal details. Threats, slurs, or private information posted without asking.

Stays up2

  • A real customer’s rough experience. It stays, and we will not tell you otherwise. We can help you respond to it.
  • A review that is only unfair, or only untrue. Being false is not, by itself, a breach of Google’s policies. If a review is defamatory, that is a question for a lawyer, not for us.
What we sort for you

What Erase Trax sorts for you

We take on the reviews that violate policy and help the honest ones get seen.

  • We start with a straight audit

Before anything else, we read every review on your listing and pick out the ones that violate Google’s policies. You get an honest list, not a sales pitch.

  • Cases that actually hold up

A removal request only works when it points to a real breach of policy, so that is the only kind we take on.

  • Google’s policies, start to finish

Every review is judged on Google’s own policies. No shortcuts that could put your listing at risk.

  • You see everything

Check in any time and see where each case stands. Chasing us for updates is not something you will ever have to do.

  • The profiles Canadians read

Google first, but the audit also covers HomeStars for trades and RateMDs for clinics when your customers read them.

What is different in Canada

Two languages, one policy, and a federal watchdog

Google applies the same published policy on both sides of the border. Three things are still particular to a Canadian listing.

  • Reviews in French

Quebec, New Brunswick and much of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario review in French. A fake, an advert or abuse violates policy in either language, and is taken on the same way.

  • The Competition Bureau

It treats fake reviews as deceptive marketing and acts against the businesses that post or buy them. It does not take a review off your listing; Google does, under its own policies.

  • The Canadian sites

Contractors are also judged on HomeStars and clinics on RateMDs. The audit covers them where your customers read them, and says when a site is unlikely to act.

  • Nothing to lose by asking

The audit costs nothing, and you are billed only once a review is verified gone from your live listing.

Across Canada

Google review removal, province by province

Google’s policies are the same in every province, in English and in French. These pages say what is particular to three of them.

  • Ontario

Licensed, insured, and still one-starred: compliance is invisible on Google.

  • Alberta

Where the account behind a review often says more than the review itself.

  • British Columbia

For reviews Google has already refused once.

Who we work with

Got customers? Then you have a rating worth protecting.

  • Restaurants and cafés

One off night, one cranky stranger, and your stars drop for no good reason.

  • Shops and online stores

Fake reviews and competitor games do not belong next to real customer feedback.

  • Doctors and dentists

You focus on patients. We deal with the reviews that violate Google’s policies, so they do not speak for your practice.

  • Trades and home services

Plumbers, electricians, contractors. A few bogus reviews can shut off the phone fast.

  • Hotels and lodges

Every unfair one-star quietly costs you bookings.

  • Auto and repair shops

Good work earns a good rating, not a review from someone who never pulled into your lot.

  • Lawyers and accountants

Clients judge you long before the first meeting. What they find should be fair.

  • Realtors and brokers

One misleading review can cost you a deal. We get the unfair ones off your page.

Life once it’s cleaned up

What changes for you

What a fair Google profile does for the business.

  1. Your stars recover

As the unfair reviews come off, your rating finally reflects the business you actually run.

  2. More people reach out

A stronger rating means more clicks, more calls, more customers showing up.

  3. You climb in search

A healthier listing gives your local ranking a boost, so more people find you first.

  4. You stop worrying

With monitoring running quietly in the background, the next bad review will not blindside you.

  • More on why clients choose us

Can you remove any negative review?

Only the ones that violate Google’s policies, like fakes, spam or abuse. A real customer’s honest review stays, but we can help you respond to it.

Is removing reviews legal?

Yes. We only take on reviews that violate Google’s own policies, and nothing we do puts your listing at risk.

What if it cannot be removed?

It costs you nothing. Canadian clients are invoiced only for removals verified on the live listing, never for attempts.

Can you deal with reviews written in French?

Oui. Google’s policies do not change with the language, so a fake, a plug for a rival or abuse written in French is taken on exactly as an English one would be. Mention it when you send the listing.

Is there a Canadian phone number?

The US line is a +1 number, so it dials from anywhere in Canada like a domestic call. Email and WhatsApp reach the same team, and you hear back within 24 hours.
