Know what is being said about you before your customers do

We watch every place people read about you, answer what arrives and take on what violates policy, so more of the people who look you up turn into customers. A profile that was fine in March can look different by August; monitoring is the part that notices.

A short silent story. Two women share something on a phone: "People talk about you every day." A café owner at her counter takes a call and smiles: "Now you hear it first." Another owner types a reply on her phone: "Every new review gets a reply." A barista is calmly back at work: "No more surprises."

What does reputation monitoring and management involve?

Erase Trax watches the review profiles and search results your customers read, Google first, and sends each new review to you within one business day. A review that violates policy is taken on for removal; a genuine one gets a drafted reply. A weekly report shows what changed. Terms are weekly, and no login is needed.

Days laterA regular mentions a review he has not seen. Everyone else read it days ago.
Who this is for

Hearing about it from a customer is too late

Most owners find a new review when somebody mentions it on the phone, days after everyone else has read it. Monitoring means you see it the day it lands, with a note on whether it violates policy.

  • You check your reviews when you remember to
  • You are listed on more than one platform
  • People look you up, then call a higher-rated rival

Google first, because that is where the rating that matters sits for most local businesses. Then Yelp, Facebook, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, your trade’s directories, and the threads and results that come up for your name.

  • A weekly report of what changed

Rating by platform, new reviews and what happened to each, replies, reviews taken on for removal, what ranks for your name, and how you compare with the businesses you compete with. If nothing changed, the report says so.

Straight answer

What monitoring catches, and what it cannot do

Monitoring is a set of eyes, not a shield. Here is where the eyes are, and what no service can do from outside a platform.

Caught

  • New reviews on Google and the other platforms your customers use
  • A change in your rating on any profile we watch
  • Forum threads and social posts that name your business
  • New pages ranking for a search of your business name
  • Reviews left on the wrong business, yours or someone else’s
  • A sudden run of reviews that looks coordinated

Not possible

  • Stop someone posting a review in the first place
  • Tell you who an anonymous reviewer is
  • Remove a review on our own — the platform decides
  • Read private messages or closed groups
  • Rewrite what a genuine customer said

  1. What does this do that Google Alerts does not?

Google Alerts watches web pages for a phrase and misses most reviews, because review text rarely appears as a new page. We watch the review profiles themselves, read what arrives, decide whether it violates policy, and draft the reply. The watching is the cheap part. The judgement is the service.

  2. Can you stop new negative reviews appearing?

No. Nothing can. A review is live the moment a customer presses the button, and no service sits between them and the platform. What monitoring changes is how long a review sits unanswered and unexamined. A real complaint gets a reply within a business day; a policy-violating one is taken on for removal.

  3. Which platforms do you watch?

The ones your customers actually use, which the audit works out. For most local businesses that is Google first, then some mix of Yelp, Facebook, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor and the directories of your trade, plus forum threads and the search results for your name. We do not claim a fixed number of platforms. A dentist and a moving company need different lists.

  4. Can you remove the bad reviews too?

Only the ones that break the platform’s policies — fake, spam, never a customer, posted by a rival. Those go to our review removal service, which is paid only per verified removal. A genuine customer’s bad review stays up, and you get a drafted reply that reads well to the next customer.

  5. How long before my rating improves?

It depends on two numbers: how many reviews you already have, and how fast genuine new ones arrive. A profile with a few dozen reviews can move visibly when a policy-violating review comes down; one with several hundred moves slowly whatever anyone does. Considered replies help the next reader even where the number holds. We work the arithmetic out with you at the audit rather than quote a date.

  6. Do you need my logins?

No. Watching is done from the outside. To post replies from the business account we ask you to add us as a manager on the profile, which you can revoke at any time. We never hold a password.

  7. Is there a contract?

Weekly. If the report shows nothing changing and you want to stop, you stop. The audit and the map of where you stand are yours to keep either way.
