Birmingham and the West Midlands

Remove fake Google reviews in Birmingham

Someone in Solihull is deciding right now whether the drive is worth it. Half your customers are in Solihull, Sutton Coldfield or Wolverhampton, deciding in seconds on your Google rating, and a fake one-star at the top sends them somewhere closer without you ever knowing.

In short

Can a Birmingham business get a fake Google review removed?

Yes, if it genuinely violates one of Google’s policies: a reviewer who was never a customer, a coordinated attack, spam, abuse, an off-topic post or a conflict of interest. Feeling unfair is not enough. The audit is free, every review gets a plain yes or no, and you pay only for reviews that come down. Google decides each one.

Who we help

Birmingham businesses we help

Customers here come from right across the West Midlands, and most of them have never met you. Your rating often decides things before they set off.

  • Independents in the Jewellery Quarter and Digbeth

  • Manufacturing and industrial suppliers

  • Private clinics, dentists and cosmetic practices

  • Restaurants, bars and takeaways

  • Trades and property maintenance

  • Garages, MOT centres and car dealers

  • Hotels and serviced accommodation

A narrower door than you expect

Which reviews can actually be removed

Google does not delete a review for feeling unfair. It only removes ones that genuinely violate its policies, and that is a narrower door than most owners expect.

Can come down6

  • People who were never customers. Fabricated posts, competitor accounts, or a review accidentally left on the wrong business entirely.
  • Coordinated attacks. A sudden run of one-star ratings from accounts with no history, all within days of each other.
  • Spam and advertising. Outside links, promotional text, or the same complaint copied across several unrelated listings.
  • Harassment and personal abuse. Content aimed at your staff rather than your service, including anything discriminatory or threatening.
  • Off-topic content. Political rants, complaints about a different business, or posts unrelated to an actual visit.
  • Conflicts of interest. Reviews from ex-employees, rival owners, or anyone who benefits from your rating dropping.

Stays up1

  • A real customer’s honest review. If a real customer had a bad time and said so, that review stays up, even at one star, and we will not pretend otherwise. If nothing on your profile violates policy, the audit says so and costs nothing.
What it costs you

Why a bad rating costs more in a city this size

Plenty of reviews violate Google’s policies. Across a region this big, one left in place quietly costs you every week.

  • The alternative is always close

Nearly three million people live across the wider Birmingham area, and so does your competition. A shaky rating gives customers every reason to pick someone ten minutes away.

  • Your rating feeds your ranking

A fake review does not only cost you the people who saw it. It costs everyone who never saw your listing, because your ranking dropped with it.

  • Trade buyers check you too

Procurement teams and facilities managers run the same search, often holding you to a stricter standard.

  • The damage adds up quietly

One fake review left up for a year is not one lost sale. It is every search in that year that went somewhere else.

What you get

What you get, from the first look onwards

Every owner knows which two or three reviews keep them up at night. What they do not know is which ones violate policy and which are honest, uncomfortable feedback.

  • A straight answer, not a sales pitch

We read every single review and tell you plainly which is which.

  • A case only where a policy is broken

Most owners fill in a short form and get nowhere. Nothing goes to Google from us unless the review violates a published policy, and we can show which one.

  • No shortcuts, ever

No bots, no mass-flagging tricks, no shortcuts that promise a faster fix. Those get whole profiles suspended.

  • A first no is not the end

A rejection is common. A case worth winning is not dropped at the first answer, and it is not sent again unchanged hoping for a different result.

  • You can check any time

You can see exactly where each review stands, not a monthly email that sounds busy and says nothing.

The law in the UK

Is it legal to remove Google reviews in Birmingham?

Since April 2025 the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act has made fake reviews illegal in the UK, and the Competition and Markets Authority can fine businesses that publish them and do nothing. But nothing happens automatically: a fake review stays on your profile until somebody takes it to Google. That part we take on for you.

  • Every request names a breach

No guessing and no mass-flagging. Each review we take on violates a specific policy.

  • No result, no fee

Failed cases cost you nothing, so we have no reason to take on work we do not believe in.

  • We tell you when we cannot help

If the reviews hurting your rating are genuine, we say so. An honest no costs you nothing; a dishonest yes would have cost you months.

Working with us

From first message to a clean profile

  1. Free audit

Send your Google Business Profile. Every review comes back with a clear yes or no, free and with no obligation.

  2. Case opened

The reviews doing the most damage to your average go first, so your score starts moving early rather than only at the end.

  3. The platform decides

Google makes the call on each review, and you can check where each one stands the whole way through.

  4. Removed. Now you pay.

You pay only for reviews that come down. A case that fails costs you nothing.

Can you remove a review just because it is unfair?

No, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something that will not work. It has to genuinely violate a Google policy. That is the whole test.

How much does this cost?

Nothing upfront. The audit is free, and you are invoiced only for reviews that come down, at a price per removal agreed in writing before work starts.

Is my Google Business Profile at risk?

No. Nothing we do puts it at risk. The tactics that get profiles suspended are exactly what we refuse to touch.

What if the review is from a real customer?

It stays up, and we say so honestly during the audit. We can suggest a good response instead, but we will not take on a case we already know will fail.

Can I report a review myself first?

Worth trying. Most owner reports get rejected, though, because they argue unfairness instead of showing which policy was violated.

What happens if Google says no?

A first no is common and it is not the end of the case. If the review still will not move, you do not pay for that one.

Do you keep watching after the clean-up?

If you want us to. Reputation monitoring is a separate weekly service: new reviews are checked as they land, so a fresh fake one is caught early instead of sitting there for a year.

Do you only cover Birmingham?

This page is written for Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, and we also work with businesses across the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia and the UAE.
